It’s an interesting change from buying massive aftermarket rims and thin performance tires. Those are the stock Scion rims, aren’t they? Making the most of what he has perhaps!

Some of us folks don’t have a lot of money for mods. I bought some alloys for my Accent, but they are ‘98 Ford Escort alloys - up close they are beat up and terrible, farther away they don’t look quite as bad, but they were all I could afford and I think they actually sortof suit the car - especially when I had bought those used-but-almost-new tires I had on it last year with the white lettering! :P

You’re right, he’s just doing him and personalizing where he can. Also, I really like those wheels on the Accent. Bright silver is always a great color.

I’m guessing he’s Colombian. That’s their flag colors and about the same ratio per color.

What bothers me the most is not all the colors were even. Instead of giving yellow half the wheel they could have split it up in 3 segments

Yeah those are stock wheels. It’s kind of a shame that these didn’t get the kind of tuning scene that Honda has. They’re not that bad (I had one). Slow car fast.

They’ve depreciated so hard that we’ll see lots more of this but it’s fine. This kind if mod looks better on a tC than a busted civic. The shape of the 1st gen is still kind of pleasing.

They’re actually a rare car where I live in Nova Scotia - there were never any official Scion dealerships here where I live (Scions were sold in Canada AFAIK, but there weren’t many dealerships for them east of Ontario/Quebec ), so the only few TCs, XBs, etc I see are either people who moved here from further West, or people who are tourists. :)
